Pope Addresses Pastoral Needs of Eastern Rite Immigrants in U.S., Canada by John Burger
Immigrants to North America, hailing from the world's trouble spots, will be better able to worship in their traditions
I suppose one could argue that the pope has a role to play in adjudicating jurisdictional issues for churches whose territorial boundaries overlap, as "one city one bishop" is not being observed. Still... by what authority does he have to erect the new eparchies, rather than confirming their erection by bishops of those particular churches?

Pope Francis on the Finding of the Child Jesus in the Temple
Even God Needs Mercy? (A Troubling Homily by Pope Francis) by Fr. Brian Harrison, O.S.
The same homily to which Fr. Z reacted here.
Latin nestorianism?
How long has the feast of the Holy Family been around? Only since the late 19th century, as it was instituted by Leo XIII? The feast is rather a novelty in the history of the Roman rite, reflecting Latin piety and theological emphasis at that time? (Much like the addition of St. Joseph by John XXIII to the Roman canon?)

Chiesa: When It Comes To Gay Unions, Bergoglio Doesn’t Say No by Sandro Magister
They are about to become law in Italy, but the pope is discouraging Catholics from raising the barricades. He did the same thing in Argentina. But there’s a difference in his politics on immigration, poverty, Islamic radicalism

Chiesa: Married Priests. The Germany-Brazil Axis by Sandro Magister
In the accounts of a German theologian and a Brazilian bishop, Francis’s plan to allow local exceptions to the norm of clerical celibacy. Beginning with the Amazon
If the report is accurate, it is shameful that the liberals are linking one with the other. The patriarchate of Rome has more to worry about than solving the shortage of priests, and even if it were financially feasible to have married priests on a wide scale, there are other serious problems that need to be addressed first (and the financial problems of the churches is a part of the current crisis of the Latin churches).
